Beautiful. Her face is a statement in its own rights. She surely has something to tell the onlookers. This photo is a successful illustration of the child's intending tales.

it is a beautiful portrait, very nicely composed. but what is the best here is this look and this hair... excellent, she'll like it it 20 years

Interesting, and what an amazing expression ! Not too sure about this composition, though... It works fine, but I think it wasn't the best... I'd like to see more at the top and bottom - more hair and a bit of chest would add a lot, I suppose. Perhaps in a square format... Very good anyway. Regards.

Geez....again I get to disagree with Marc. I think the crop is wonderful, along with the expression, the hair, the light, etc. I don't want to see more chest or a square format, I like the empty space to the left, adds drama. Nice work!

I agree fully with Jayme. I would not crop this square, and I would not crop it larger. It is lovely just as it is. And I don't see tantrum here. I see a serious intensity that penetrates my soul. A beautiful piece.

This is a beautiful image, but it makes me so sad. The emotion she is sending out through her eyes, and her chin tucked into her chest, just make me want to weep. The tones, the hair, her little face looking a little dirty perhaps, it all just really pulls at my heartstrings. I find myself thinking, what has she gone through in her little life? A brilliant portrait, very moving, and I love the crop just as it is. Very powerful.

Thankyou everyone for your support, (my moment of glory; to get to the 1st page of photo.net.)

BTW Jessica is a very gentle, quiet, self content and normally smiling child. What you possabily see is the photographers mind showing with his image selection ;)
