john falkenstine 1 Posted November 11, 2004 Very nice exposure and composition against the background, and should really be in the TOP photos, but...... unfortunately crappy images are attracting the moths right now. (Does photo.net need to have the digital equivalent of a bugzapper). Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted November 11, 2004 For once, John and I agree. Will wonders ever cease? This is a wonderful image, so expertly lit and such a radiant smile. She's beautiful! Absolutely wonderful. Link to comment
toddlaffler 0 Posted November 11, 2004 Thank you very much, I a really appreciate your kind comments regarding this image. Doing portraits is somewhat new to me, especially in the studio. I've been working to fine tune my lighting and it's nice to know that it stood out as a good element in this photograph, at least to some people anyway. I realize this isn't all that original of an image, I'm not breaking any ground or anything, but that's not the intent of this photograph. The first goal was to create a flattering portrait of my wife. The second goal was for me personally to expand my control over lighting. Basically, I am quite pleased with this, especially since it is lit with 3 regular flash units, 2 canon 550 EX's and one lower end Sunpak flash, all hooked together with slaves. I never imagined that flash could give good results, but I guess I am learning that it's all about the "modifying" of the light source, through use of umbrellas and reflectors. Anyway, thank you so much for giving me some positive feedback on this. take care, Wram Regards, Todd Link to comment
