Cloned out a white stone...therefore is one of my few manipulated shots.

You, yes you, what's the first thing this pops to your mind? Would you

care writing it here?

The most interesting aspect of shooting a natural abstract, to me, is

to hear what people see in it.

Your comments are very much appreciated.

From a Jungian standpoint, I think it is vaginal looking. (there, I said it:)

From a photographic standpoint, I would like it better if it were razor sharp to bring out the textures better, which it doesn't quite look to me, at least on this monitor. I like the colours.

It is a good work.

I looks like an animal's head with large ears. Sharpness seems to be a problem, and I would have removed (or cloned) the small white spots.) I like the color and composition, though.

Fine, I tried to sharpen it a bit more, but being just a tiny fraction of a large landscape did not make it very far. I also removed the white stones...

...too bad this had little following, I was on the point of posting the full frame but maybe I better wait a bit in case someone else should stop by.

Was this taken using a tripod or is this a very small piece of the full frame? The pixels seem to be deviating from the original quite a bit.

In terms of the abstract nature, it has certainly worked well with the natural lines and the shades of colors. As you can tell, there are many wild imaginations out there.

A very intresting subject to work on "textures and abstracts" theme, but definetly needs work on the sharppening issue, to make it very "crispy". You should try different ratios, it deserves a little time to experiment, you could come out with a much more interesting image.

Being a geologist I find it hard to see this abstractly (and I'm crying out for something to show scale), if I can look at it abstractly I see "laceration" (bleeding wound).
