I think this is a fine image, but the scene looses it's impact because a sense of scale is so difficult to make out. I hate when people say this but I have to in this instance. Even though timing may not have been on your side inclusion of a train on the bridge would give that scale and allow people to figure out what that is rather than you telling them. I'd never have known if that were a railway bridge or a walkway had you not informed me.

Jim, I've noted your point. Yes, timing was impossible as I was sitting in a moving train. Maybe it's not very relevant to know what kind of bridge this is. The image as such I find rather eery. A piece of steel & concrete in a barren landscape. Scale could be measured by the trees. Anyway, thanks very much for your critique.

Flynn, regrettably I don't have a detailed map handy. This railway track runs from the Rocky Mts to Vancouver. Hope this anwers your query.
