Didnt I just comment on this? or am I going crazy? If you darkened the foreground tree, as per my first suggestion, it may not be enough.

 

No, you're not going crazy. I appoligize for that. Yes I took you up on your suggestion about darkening the foreground tree, and yes you might be right again, it may not be enough. I just didn't want it to seem like a heavy handed burn. Maybe I'll try it again, but don't worry, I'll leave this one up. :) Thanks for your comments, I appreciate it.

I thought so! You stare at a computer long enough and, well, you never know. I like this shot alot, keep experimenting, perhaps a bit more even a burn, so the edges recieve a darkening as well. Take care.

I just checked out your portfolio and webpage. I am humbled. You are very good. Its funny, I think the internet is the only place where an amateur can tell a professional whats wrong with thier work, and it is accepted for face value. And in this case, advice taken and utilized. You have a very open mind, and shutter!

Thank you for taking the time to further explore my work, I appreciate that a lot. You make an interesting point about the internet. It's kind of the great equalizer in some ways. It's amazing how much really good work is out there, it's just that before the internet we didn't really know about it.
