hometown Old Barn in b/w

I submitted this photo about a year ago in color, but I have been

working with b/w a little more lately and I thought I would re-

submit this one in b/w.

 

If you have the time take a look in my "hometown" folder and look at

the color version and let me know which you like better.

I read your comment regarding the "softness" on the color image, so I understand your perspective. Prior to reading it, though, the softness was a bit distracting. The image itself is certainly arresting--it seems more contemporary than "Old" with the roof windows and turrets. The sky contrast makes the image. Could you possibly Burn the hot spot in the center of the sky though? Nice work overall. cc

I most appreciate the softness you've given the clouds and certain areas of the barn and the silos. I most like the fine texture of the entire photo. It's something I incorporate in most all of my photo's. Though some, just barely.

Very surreal feel to it - Very good

I remember the color version and liked it a lot; however, the b&w version is very, very good. Seems to have more atmosphere. I'd be happy with either one hanging on my wall!
