sawicki 0 Posted November 8, 2004 I wonder what you think about that one. Can it touch people who does not know the place and don't treat it as emocionally as I do? Appreciate your opinion. Link to comment
mszarecki 0 Posted November 23, 2005 You ask the question. ?Can it touch people who does not know the place and don't treat it as emocionally as I do?? In my opinion it is very difficult to touch people with these images if they do not have some sort of connection with it. My grandparents, as yours too, were directly affected by this. We have heard the stories passed down to us, sometimes in very gory and vivid detail. This gives us an strong emotional link with this particular past. I have not been to Auschwitz but I did visit Maydanek. When I saw your photos, which are fantastic, I was really haunted by them. I remembered my visit to Maydanek and some of the stories I heard from my grandparents. I even shed some tears. Thanks you. Link to comment
