Here you can see the operator doing a sunshot the hard way. We had two crews an only one view prism.Simply aim the transit toward the sun,place sheet of paper at back and adjust the tangent screws until the sun is on the paper. When the sun is in the middle of the cross hairs,mark your time and angles for later calc's to obtain an asumith to your reference object.For the pdml gang.
