Greg, the foreground is as dark as it was when I took this photo. The setting sun was just above the horizon. The area where I stood was already in the dark. That's why there's no foreground to be brightened up. Thanks very much for your critique.

Nice original Uluru shot - a hard task at the best of times. The clouds work really well in this shot - the way the plateau out gives a great visual effect.

Ash, thanks very much for your comment. I took this one from rather far away. IMO the 'official' picture taking site is too close for this photographer's comfort.
