I like it - unusual angle that works for this composition.

They seems to become better and better. Tastefull use of your skills. I think this is a wonderfull picture whatever you choose, B&W, color or high key.

No, you are not losing it. I did flip. I liked the balance of the knee better on the left. Once I uploaded, I realized the lettering on his shirt was backwards. Perfectionist that I am, I flipped it back with the knee on the right so the lettering on his shirt would be correct.

Why is it cycling draws the most unusual fan base and characters? As one who photographed professional cyclists for many years, I found this bunch the hardest to quantify and understand. Maybe its the nature of the sport; individualistic and somewhat esoteric. This is another of your classic "patented" high-key shots. Really works extremely well with this composition and framing. Tops for me.
