Yes, a long way from home, but not invariably of its own volition.

These birds are quite easy to train to speak and many of them were brought to South Africa back in the day (as caged pets) when Indians were used in the Sugar cane fields of Natal. The birds escaped and over time have become a bit of a scourge throughout. Very territorial and aggressive... oh, and damn noisy.
