This is a copmuter altered image of NU_000008; made in a gratitude for Dali's numerous lessons.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this work and comparison of it to NU_000008.

Great job, Michael, it has definitely a Dalinian look. I like very much the fluidity of the shapes you created. Just one small reservation: I think the arm supporting the body is too thick (looks more like a truck driver's arm) and as a consequence the image looses part of its feminity. .

Thank you, Tomas, for your comment. The hand actualy was made to look less feminine on purpose, to be somewhere in between - belonging to a feminine body and being strong enough to support the entire sculpture. Although to me it also was an asaggurated hand of a base player. By making the hand look stronger I wanted to point to the instability of the statue by itself. Thank you again.

Perhaps in response to some comments on the original photograph (including mine!) that it looked like a human sculpture, you have taken it a step further and truly made a photographic sculpture. I admire your effort. However, and this is merely my opinion, the lines and simplicity of the unaltered original were preferable. In any event, your work with nudes is exemplary.

Got to agree, this is great and very creative, but it messing with a classic. Like trying to change Jordan's jump shot.

Incredible. Can't decide if I like this or the original more. They both show talent and creativity in different ways. Beautiful and thought-provoking.

I cannot understand why this very imaginative composition have so low ratings. May be it's too innovative for the photo.netters...

I find it surrealistic. Quite unique!

big dali fan here. great, not something you see here on photo.net! i have to agree that the arm is too unnatural--it's too thick for the length and it bulges out to far on the left side. nice job overall

So much to be seen in this!! Like a fantastic musical instrument, very majestic. Worthy of only the best ratings, very well done!

kind regards, Brendan
