Good saturated colors, nice burnt out background without

loss of detail in the foreground. Great sports picture

without showing much of the sport itself...

Howard, surprisingly for me, with all that's going on in the photo, it still works well compositionally. The story? I'm afraid you'll have to tell us. ^_^

Howard- I love images that leave the story to the imagination. The colors here are fibrantly nice. Let's see- a story. Looks like father and son are dreaming of kayaking in their future. Their stare off into the distance and the little boy's body postion, implies he's really into it. Mother and daughter seem to be waiting around for their chance. Daughter, with her downward look, appears kind of disappointed. It's always hard to wait your turn! LOL. Mom appears to be assuring the little girl, "be patient". LOL

Funny, I watched a kayaker recently, navigating the "falls of the Ohio" river. Difficult and dangerous sport. Obviously, not something a small boy or girl could accomplish, that's why I say "dreaming" of the future, might just be the story with parental guidance! My heart wants to see the little girl in the kayak dreaming too. Nice job!

Crowded composition, but holds nicely. I think that each one there has his own story, as each one of them looks completely absorbed in his own world....

A meaningful moment captured in time. That is what it is all about! Very hard to capture four people each intent in his thoughts. This is great Howard.

Actually, Howard, in my opinion, this isn't one of your stronger images. There is too much going on. Each girl is focused on something different in the background (which distracts me) and the man and boy seem to be looking in somewhat different directions, too. It IS a colorful shot ... but I would like to have focused on one or two of the elements rather than all four.
