Acqua Alta

very sad thing about this: Venice is a beautiful place, but floods there are dangerous more and more wasting great architecture. Great shot, harmony and calmness

At certain times of the year, especially the late fall, large

portions of Venice become underwater at high tide (there are

actually fish swimming on some streets). Its annoying for visitors

and and bad for the city but - since it's quite predictable - a bit

of fun for us photographers.

Very nice -- I like where you have placed the water line in the image, to emphasize the surface reflections.

My honeymoon was in Venice, to me this shot really captures the essence of that most beautiful of italian cities, water, the square, sitting & drinking. Very nice.

Feel bad for these guys (waiters?). The shot is perfect though. Unusual situation, composition is great, excellent lighting, reflections, you got it all here. Great work
