atle.g 0 Posted November 1, 2004 Is the whiteness in the sky too much. Have recropped it to almost square, any toughts? Link to comment
poutnik 1 Posted November 2, 2004 Nice photo, nice composition, good colors only for the white area in the sky... (but you already knew that...) Jiri Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 14, 2004 Atle, I think you have burned too much the sky. The "white" is taking too many space. That creates a lot of contrast with the tree in the foreground. Best Regards Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted December 14, 2004 Thanks for you honest opinion Julien.... yes i also think is too bright, and the darkest area on top, add to that even more. Regards!! Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted December 17, 2004 Is this really Bob ! ......... he has grown soo much ! ....... Becoming quite the tree, he is. Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted December 17, 2004 o yeah..the one and only. LOL!! Thx for stopping by ken. Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted December 17, 2004 Lol ....... for those of you who do not know - this tree appears so often in some of Atle's early work that I finally gave it a name - Bob ............ so funny, now we get to watch 'Bob' grow up, go to college, drop out, get a job, raise a family, have an affair (he has his eye on that little shrub down the hill there), get divorced, get layed-off, get re-married, and have grand children - sheesh ! (-; Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 18, 2004 Beautiful scenery and nicely exposed. I agree about the burning but still the picture has a high aesthetic value.... Nice work. Best regards. Link to comment

abintraphoto 0 Posted December 23, 2004 And a Happy New Year to you my friend ......... (-; Link to comment
v 0 Posted January 1, 2005 I think that the whiteness is OK, but the pink colours just over the mountain looks rather artificial. What did you do? The composition is great, and the cropping works very very well. Keep it up! :) v Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted January 7, 2005 Hi Atle! Happy New Year to you also. Long time without participating heavily in PN myself. Glad to see you your lone trees! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 30, 2005 looking at your three latest uploads, I must say that your compositional style interests me. I must watch for your future uploads since I don't care to comment on a photo at the bottom of the critique comments heap. cheers - HF Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 10, 2005 Nice view, but you have lost a lot of texture of the leaf in the forehead! IMHO, I wish the trees to be more focus/sharper!Thank you, Biliana Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted February 10, 2005 Thx for honest critique billiana. and yes you are right.. there was strong wind, and combined with the late light and fujii velvia, i choosed to go for max blurring, to perhaps get an impression of the windy conditions..the exposure time was 7-8 seconds at f22. This also caused the strong witheness in the sky... wich bothers me way more. Regards! Link to comment
audrey lee reid 0 Posted March 1, 2005 I'm bias towards square formats - full marks there:) The landscape setting is beautiful as all your scapes are. I'm not as bothered by the motion in the leaves as much as the over bright patch in the sky and my wish list would include not having that middle/little tree there. Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted March 2, 2005 Thanks Audry. Would agree that the small tree somewhat blocks the fjord view, but impossible to avoid that if i want to have water in the frame. On the left side there is a big mast... very annoying, making it difficult move more to left. e.g. to make a photo of the mid and left tree. This location is easy acessable for me, and i use it as a "training ground"... so i will keep trying to improve theese shots. Regards! Link to comment
