Nice shot. I have always loved the scenery on the parkway when I would travel that way. There are some truly spectacular views along that stretch of highway. I can't wait till next year when we visit my parents in FL... I plan on making a few stops along the interstate 77 going south to get some views of the panoramas to the east. Hopefully we will have some good sunrise/early morning shots.

US 58 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in southern Virginia. Sondra

I like the sense of depth that's apparent from the darker and lighter branches. The foreground provides a frame and works well with the lowest branches to make for an excellent composition. I can feel the dampness in my bones!

 

PS i don't like the PSed version with added yellow. Prefer the original.

Sondra, on second thoughts my version doesn't improve your original so I've deleted it!

Excellent! The composition and the contrast between the rocks and the tree in fog is just right. Perfectly exposed.

What a nice capture. I like the fog it adds a bit of mystery to the shot. I live in NC and enjoy the neverending shots you can find along the parkway. Congrats!
