John Crowe 165 Posted November 1, 2004 I first uploaded this image in colour and after doing a greyscale conversion, I realized that I liked this one more. The colour one is still in my folder, let me know what you think. Also in my folder is a different composition of this same subject using a telephoto lens but again I think this one is more dramatic. judsonr 0 Posted November 1, 2004 John, that's a magnificently beautiful landscape portfolio you have. All your images are very striking. I especially like the tree in two seasons. What's your secret in finding the exact spot from which you photographed the first time? AS for this grayscale v. the color shot, it's a tough decision, so I won't make one. Link to comment
John Crowe 165 Posted November 1, 2004 Judson: I posted the "secret" with the elm tree in the summer shot. Thank-you, John. Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted November 4, 2004 I prefer the B+W. The polarization of the sky is less apparent. You might consider dodging the tree slightly, so it doesn't converge so much with the foreground. Link to comment
