Does this photo hold enough interest for you (with the color and

closeup)? Or, is it simply too generic? You honest opinion is

Don, I like the composition, with the diagonal line in it and the two groups of berries around the middle. Only the colours a for me not matching (pink/green). But that of course is a very subjective view of me. 5/5

Thanks for the feedback! The berry's color is actually that color. I'm thinking another thing I could have done was to put a black cloth for a backdrop for better coloring scheme but I didn't have one and took it as is. Thanks again!

Don, never seen these berries here. Can you eat them? Anyhow black / red seems to be (as I am learned by somebody who had studied this) a very powerfull colour combination that appeals to a lot of people.

American Beautyberry is a native plant grown for its colorful berries in autumn. But, I'm not sure exactly where it is native to. I live in southeast Texas and this was found in Huntsville, Texas. I know it isn't poisonous and that birds will eat it but I do not know if it is edible for human consumption or not. Here is a little that I dug up on google:

• Scientific Name: Callicarpa Americana
• Foliage: Deciduous broadleaf
• Height: 4 to 10 feet
• Spread: 4 to 6 feet
• Shape: Bushy
• Description: Large green leaves have a rather course look. Inconspicuous pink flowers bloom in summer and are followed by magenta fruit in the fall.
