The fine lines in the skin, the peach fuzz, the perfections and imperfections, the smooth and the taunt, the different body lines, what you do see and what you don't see. Yeah .... I believe that there is plenty to be seen here if you take the time to look. Thanks for the submission. Kim

you have to ask yourself one question, is this the best I can do? Nudes are quickly becoming null and void, lacking orignality and imagination. Push yourself to break the mold and come up with something original.

I think getting rid of the hand would then have the picture really be about shapes and texture; the curve of the breast,the vertical line of the abdomen, the goosebumps. I actually think that would be an interesting perspective

Yes obviously Mario only likes crappy nude photography.

 

This is nice, but I would agree with the hand being excluded. Also, the upper left corner/arm area would be better darkened.

Otherwise, nice shot with very graphical lines.

You know Don made a fine point there and I think it invalidated his beginning statement with the last sentence. He said "Push yourself to break the mold and come up with something original" Well I think you did. First of all the aesthetics are exceptionally brilliant, but the hand adds to it. It just isn't about lines and so therefore you do "break the mold" of what a pro would do or anyone else. Otherwise it would have been "great" and everyone would have said its nice but it wouldn't have been unique. I think you did a superb job hand included. 7/7

Don't listen to negative stuff. Keep shooting whatever your heart desires. You have a wonderful porfolio. Your attention to light and texture just says to me and, i am sure, to every serious photographer that your eye is special.

By the way, the first thing I thought when I looked at this photo was - "Gee, This is REAL"

Thanks everyone for the comments. (Even Don, though I would think that for someone who espouses originality so vehemently you'd try to refrain from pasting the same comment in every nude photo in the gallery and say something original for each dastardly photo that offends your sensibilities.)

Your existing portfilio shows you have an eye for the graphicness you can portray the female form in. Not all are, IMO, executed in the best way, but the resulting graphic quality, and its sensibility, is pretty good. I personally like what you have done and how you have portrayed the female form. The shot you have, http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=2762849 is one example. This shot has been done before by a lot of people, but yours is different in its representation and shows that you do have an eye.

 

After looking at this shot, and my comment about the hand, I can see where the hand could be ok, but I also thing that its "weight" in the image takes away from what is obviously the more "important" focal point in the shot.

what great curves...

i think this shot has really captured a very curvy part of a woman... and that can be very attractive.

 

something about the hand doesn't work... not sure if it is the model feeling uncomfortable or the bad nail job or what.

If this is only your second shot, then you will go far with this subject matter! You have a good eye already for it, so I, and others, can only expect better, more interesting work coming from you in the future.

 

Just to comment here on your recent shot, the 2 breasted one, I think you did a superb job. I personally like the negative space you left in on the left, and the nipple issue can be seen from both sides. There is something to leaving it in, but also to not. Its a hard, no pun intended, choice.

Robert, don't get discouraged by phonies like Don Farra (who, as you mentioned, keeps pasting the same misspelled comment everywhere). This is a beautiful nude shot. I love the detail you normally don't see in this genre. The sheer robustness of this body is magnetic. Somehow because the breast is high in the frame, and also since it seems so voluminous and heavy, there is somehting dominating about this image. It almost imposes submission on the viewer's part.

 

I don't mind the hand, I think it nicely finishes the bottom. The only thing I would have loved to be different is the cut-off nipple. It should be in the frame.

One of the most original and artistic nudes I have seen yet. It gives a feeling of intimacy within one's self, and this is how nudity and women should be displayed. 7/7

I love this photo. I think the crop is perfect.

This is perhaps the one I like best. The curve that a womans breast forms on the underside is the most attractive line to me. This is a perfect capture of that line. Also complements to the model. Nice work Robert!
