aepelbacher 0 Posted October 30, 2004 Great colors! I wonder if the detail is a bit lacking, though, Howard. Or is it just me? Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted October 30, 2004 Yes, I wasn't happy about the detail either but liked the color and composition and decided to post. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 30, 2004 Howard- I love the composition, but it looks a little over exposed, you might try duplicating it in layers and adjusting to Multiply and reducing the opacity to 35-40%. I played a little. hope you don't mind. Link to comment
gabrielma 0 Posted October 30, 2004 I must say that the colors are pretty faithful; the leaves around here (Minneapolis, MN) are quite bright, and are quite a challenge when shooting digital and you have a combination of rather clashing dark (i.e. the bark) and bright (cloudy sky) elements, not to mention that the wind is going to make the leaves blurry. This looks right to me, specially for a natural-light shot. home page1 0 Posted October 30, 2004 I think Jayme's version brings out more details in the leaves by darkening them but I find the tree too dark in her version. Your crop has very nice composition and colors. Looks like you have been victimized by a commentless 3/1 rater. That's something that apparently most really good photogs have to endure on occasion on this site. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 30, 2004 I like what Jayme did with this. You could try a combination of what she did with the leaves, but leave the original tree trunk and I think that would work the best. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Howard, nice composition and colors. I think Jayme's take is also snappy, however it's immediately recognizable as being Jayme's. ^_^ Link to comment
