ellie designs 0 Posted October 28, 2004 It's a lovely portrait. I think the hands/knee could maybe be softened a bit to allow the face to the main focus. Link to comment
speysider 0 Posted October 28, 2004 This is the sort of ghost I would love to have haunt me. Really beautiful image. I agree with EE about the hands, the strong vertical line needs to be softened or perhaps the image should be cropped above the hands. Either way it's a fabulous image. 6/6 John Link to comment
behel 0 Posted October 28, 2004 what the f.. is this terrifying hole in her neck, can you tell ? i think you have something with this series, tiffany. maybe try to soften manipulation in order that the "machine feel" does not "flatten" the human touch. this one is very good but could benefit of a more subtle treatment of the framing. "peeling girl 1" is way too loud, "stair" is too much too, i think. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted October 28, 2004 Thank you, all. Yes, I was going more for "disturbing", than ethereal....but who am I to dispute an interpretation. Behel, the thing in her neck is from the underlay. It is a miniature 3d room with a very organic looking hole in the wall, that matched up perfectly to look like some horrific brooch/wound thing on her neck. I'd post the original, but it is actually my ex's art. And while, he lets me use it for my work, I don't think he would want it posted. I am really trying to stay out of my way on these. I am not exactly in control of the operation. It's hard to explain. But, the less present I am with this stuff, the better the results. I also JUST did them, so until I can get proper distance, I'm going to just let them be. Thanks for stopping by. I always appreciate your observations. For now, I like the leg, because it makes her seductive...scary and seductive. P.S. I did just soften the leg stripe. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 9, 2007 Very different! She looks like trapped, but with some idea to escape! Very unusual concept and tones :) Biliana Link to comment
