Near the Oregon Coast . . .

robertbrown

Shot on a glorious sunny day (unusual for the Oregon coast). Too much light for a change, so I shot infared digital. Like the wild colors.

Yes,wild colors and a very good composition.

Looks unreal. Can be used as a tutorial for infrared photography, Robert.

8/7. Blago

Definitely a good image. I didn't know you could do infrared with a digital, you learn something every day. This has been something that has held me back from moving to digital as I am keen on infrared effects.

My only criticism would be that the top lefthand corner is a bit on the dark side, compared to the rest of the foliage (obviously a much thicker mass of braches), and would be better lightened up a touch.

I agree with Blagoy (8/7).

Nice IR picture. could use a bit more sky so the tree stood out more.

I also do Digital IR photography, I have a few up here : IR Folder

Keep experimentin'

Robert,

This image really caught my eye. I like both the composition as well as the treatment. The exposure is right on as well. Shadow details are visible despite the bright/contrasty center area.

Shot this on a very bright sunny day on the Oregon Coast (about 1000

feet from the beach). Too much sun for regular shots, so I went

infrared. Going to have a show soon at a small gallery and thinking

about including this with black and white stuff--what do you think?

I'm fairly pleased with it, but I don't do that much color. I'd

appreciate comments, ratings, and criticism (yes, I mean that!).

Thanks.

This picture is so unusually beautiful that is difficult to put it into words.

I have a digital camera too and I would like to know more about infrared technique. Please email me the secret.

Congratulations and success with your exhibition.

D*MN! While really quite in love with my Minolta Dynax 7, it's pictures like this that make me very unhappy with the fact that it doesn't work with IR-films! This is a very good picture! I love the pink sky in particular! Makes it look like a scene from a fairy-tale.

Come on, I must be able to find one point of critique... Well, maybe if you would have use a more wide-angle lens, the trees would have seemed to move toward one another in the top of the picture. Maybe a nice idea for a next time, but well... GREAT SHOT!

Nice work! I've been meaning to try out digital IR for a while now. I just bought the CP995 and hope to try it out with that. Did you have to do any work in photoshop with this after taking it?
