gabrielma 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Hello Howard: very nice. At least you've got trees with leaves on them left, here in Mi-nneso-tah they've been blown and washed away.Regards. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted October 26, 2004 One of my favorite fall images so far this season. Love it, Howard!! The colors are brilliant, and the composition is made wonderful by the tree trunks and the green backdrop. Bravo!! Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Great autumn shot, Howard! A little different than what you've been doing lately, but so good! Link to comment
mark_janness 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Great colors and contrast. I would like to see the ground under the trees to complete the picture. My camera was in the shop for repairs so I missed the peak colors here in Wisconsin. Link to comment

jayme 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Howard, this is awesome! So beautiful and amazing. My only complaint....... the acid rain the Northern states keep sending down south, thus ruining our trees & leaves. Sorry to get political, but it is so sad to see the effect that acid rain has on our environment. Truly devastating for our trees and other folage! Most of our leaves look just like the one in my "Rusted Out" shot. After further investigation as to why, I have found that our federal government's new found lackadaisical attitude towards our air quality control is most assuredly the culprit. I have not seen anything so pathetic in years! I am slowly but surely becoming a proponent for change. When it hits home so violently as it has this year, it becomes obvious, a change is needed somewhere. Might as well start at the top. In a time when fear mongering over foreign terrorists (the wolves) seems to be the political order of the day, we may sadly be missing the forest for the trees. No pun intended. Maybe we should do a quick global test on ourselves with regard to our environmental policies! They suck! Our trees are dying proof. I urge everyone to investigate for themselves and find out who the terrorists truly are and make an informed choice. It's not the "wolves" I find frightening, it's the "wolves in sheep's clothing" that scare the heck out of me! Glad to know your trees are surviving well & looking beautiful. Link to comment

hyde 0 Posted October 27, 2004 Superb shot, colours, light and composition. But what I like most are the trunks, in graceful, slender succession. Great work! 7/7 Link to comment
hanna_cowpe 0 Posted October 28, 2004 Coloured sticks or paint brushes? Howard, this is gorgeous. I trust you haven't had to saturate it. The trunks are what really gives this punch. Jayme, thanks for speaking out. It's a global issue that concerns us all. Link to comment
