aepelbacher 0 Posted October 23, 2004 Yup - there's that smile! :-) I also like the texture added to an image when a man isn't quite clean-shaven. Interesting soft colors, too! Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted October 23, 2004 Lighting is a bit harsh but this is nicely done with good composition and detail. Link to comment

eddevlam 0 Posted October 23, 2004 I'm supprised. A new way in Photoshop Howard and a nice one. I wonder how you do this. I Like it very much. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 24, 2004 I like this one, too, and the effect you have added works well. It's something a little different than you have been doing. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 24, 2004 Howard- the composition is super. His skin tones seem a bit unnaturally orangish red on my CRT, maybe it's time for an adjustment of my monitor The lighting is again a little too harsh, what kind of flash did you use? On camera or off? But again, that's just my opinion, I prefer soft lighting with people, I think it's so much more flattering. Just my opinion. This one would also looks great in B&W. Link to comment
gabriella_lucia 0 Posted October 24, 2004 I think the skin tone may be a bit harsh but that hardly takes away from what Howard has been doing. He masterfully captures people unscripted in their everyday life activities. Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted October 24, 2004 Like the lighting on the face. Got to agree on the other areas being a little blown out. Well done capture and composition. Link to comment
afterthoughts 0 Posted October 24, 2004 Dennis, the other areas are not blown out. The paper behind the black wire is WHITE! Actually, there are some shadows in the paper. Further indication that that area is not blown out. Hey, why am I defending my image? Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted November 3, 2004 Howard, I really like how all the squares and rectangles interplay with each other all around the gentleman. They really compliment him well. I'll bet that a sepia version of this will be awesome. Very nice environmental portrait. Link to comment
