I think the image is great. Did you take lots of shots? There also seems to be opportunities for shots within the shot. The mountains with the horizontal bands of water and sky are intriguing to name one. Well done.

I like that texture in the foreground and it starts your eyes on the path up to the pinkish light on the mountains. Well done!

Great texture in that dose of shredded wheat in the foreground. I think I'd enjoy this one even more without the mountains as they are cut off so abruptly and the texture and detail in the rest is excellent.

Balance seems a little off for some reason, can't pin it down, though. However, don't actually seem to care about that, and certainly an interesting foreground.

Dave, this is absolutely superb. You certainly have posted here quite a number of beautiful scenaries, but, without checking your folders again right now, I feel this may be your very best upload todate. It has such a wonderful depth anc clarity, a complex but perfectly organized composition, AND, to me the most important, a truely wonderful color contrast between the foreground, the central area, and the background. This is one of the rare cases where I'll let go a 7/7 for a scenary, although I'd be tempted to ask first which manipulations occurred at post-processing. Great picture - and imo, better and more original than the horizontal version of it. Best regards.

Beautiful image Dave...curious how you get the matte look to it if you would share that. 7/7
