joshchapman 0 Posted October 22, 2004 Quite melancholy. Very nice. I don't know that the background in the top third really adds much, however. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted October 23, 2004 Nice "feel" to this one, Bente. I like the muted lighting you've achieved here. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted October 23, 2004 Yes the subdued lighting makes for an atmosphere of 'time passing quietly' (or something :-)) Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted October 23, 2004 Yes it looks very familiar (!) ........... Reminds me of days past. Also I see you have been sneaking things from your neighbors garden - big penalty for that you know ......... (-; I like the dark area - allows room for my imagination ... Link to comment
bram meijer 0 Posted October 23, 2004 a bit too dark for me. But this photo is made very well. Compliments, Regards, Bram Link to comment

bradkim 8 Posted October 24, 2004 Excellent mood, Bente.... You are posting excellent still-lifes one after another. I am noticing also that Ken, the great master of still life, is becoming an enthusiastic fan of your images.... Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted October 25, 2004 I have to agree it does have a melancholy feel to it. . .I love the lighting and composition. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Bente- This is really beautful. Wonderfully subtle light mixed with stunning detail and composition. I always look to see what length of lens was used. I notice you don't have anything listed. May I ask 2 things. Is this natural light and what lens did you use? Beautiful! Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Thanks to all you special people stopping by and commenting. Your comments means a lot to me (-: Jayme ... the lens used for this one is the all round lens Canon 24-85 f/3.5-4.5 USM. The light is natural daylight comming through some dirty barn windows. Shuttertime for this one is 8 sec. and apparture f/11 underexposed -1. Because I am -4 on each eye I mostly is using the auto focus even I have extra diopter adjustment on the viewfinder. bentes_world 0 Posted November 3, 2004 I have lately been receiving several very nice comments on my stills from photographers I higly admire myself and I just want to tell I do appriciate them very much ... from photographers who have been a great inspiration to me. If I'm worthy to carry the torch I don't think so but I'll absolutely do my very best ... even it is getting harder and harder ( the barn-studio is getting pretty cold now ) and I also have the wish to do better and better ... please bare with me if I don't succeed .. and your comments will also in the future be higly appriciated as a help to me to do my best. Thank you is a poor word ... but the best I know of ... so thanks, friends!!! Link to comment
