chandra 0 Posted October 23, 2004 Norbert, They protested against war and the innocent civilians & police men killed in the war. I don't know the story of 'White straps?; I really appreciate it if you can tell me the story. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Chandra. Link to comment

Mike Marcotte 49,884 Posted October 24, 2004 I like the photo Chandra, I was just wondering how many of those big guys it takes to arrest that one woman. Link to comment
5711 0 Posted October 24, 2004 this cableties are used as handcuffs.i had the pleasure to get aquinted to them on the "opern ball"-demonstration in vienna two years ago.they hurt..and i really mean that.and what i wanted to say was that i thought and still think (actually i know it now-cause you said it)that this woman didnt comit any crime.there is this peace-sign on her t-shirt.its typical that such people, which protest against senseless killing get arrested, they get arrested to avoid even greater protests/riots.the gouvernment is afraid that there is too much truth in what that people say...too much truth that will make people revolt in anger/fear or whatever..i think you understand what i want to say..they want to avoid that people (the masses) start to think about things that happen..i saw this guys from the navy going to the beach and asking people to sign up for a year or more.a year with the marines when war is about to take place in the next few months...how stupid are this people?...you americans got some really serious problems...dont believe everything what is told..start to think..hmm i think i wrote too much..excuse my bad english. i hope you understand me.:) see you around.keep on shooting fotos! regards. norbert Link to comment
john kissane 0 Posted October 24, 2004 The lady did not get in this shape for protesting. She broke the law. Protesting is legal here in the U.S. Link to comment
spencer_gustin1 0 Posted October 24, 2004 Very well done, although the persceptive could have been improved by moving closer. Judging from the subject matter I'm geussing you probably got as close as you could... Link to comment
jeff_lu 0 Posted October 25, 2004 sigh...the sad thing is...such shots are getting too ordinary...and that idealism is a "bad bad" thing...that the two major parties fight endlessly to control a society gone wrong ive been in trouble since before the current reign...it won't disappear...and back to the original point, isn't it ironic that the more we photograph, the less effect our images have? mike burley 0 Posted October 25, 2004 Gey tighter...good moment. Maybe get lower angle.....Good shot though Link to comment
5711 0 Posted October 25, 2004 what was this woman doing that she got arrested? its just such a queer shot.you see this old woman...she isnt that thin...to mention that too..she smiles..and around her this men..4men...men that are quite strong...hehe..haha...this guys know how to do such things..and it is so funny looking at that picture..4 men one smileing woman and she gets arrested by those men... to the picture itself...i would have done it somehow else.i would have tried to get rid of the person in the right foreground and then take..as mentioned... a low angle ...and take the picture in a way that legs werent cut off.. some guy said something about shooting fotos..and the more you shoot the less you can effect with them...or how to say in english..i cant remember exectly how this guy said that..anyway.. its the way how we (you...whoever) takes pictures.its up to you...the thing i talk about is called 'originality' :)) protesting is leagl in the US? okay..its alos legal in austria. but i think i see the white house in the background..isnt it so? so if you was george-double-u-bush ...wouldnt you be interested in getting rid of those people.? before the press takes pictures and so on.. know what i mean? anyway i like that shot its great.. see you around.! csdunek 0 Posted October 27, 2004 More than likely she was not arrested for protesting, but for trespassing. There are areas which are restricted. Link to comment

john kissane 0 Posted October 29, 2004 Answer the underlying question. Don't BS with this garbage you are spilling. Is protesting illegal? Did she break the law? Give it up. Stop spinning. Luv Link to comment
