The color version is much better than this one. This b&w is too grey. This photo needs contrast between the mountains and the sky. Try to rise the blue channel in the channel mixer. Thanks for sharing anyway!

Count my vote for the color. This is nice but doesn't have as much contrast and detail as the color version. But, I'm partial to color in most, but not all, situations.

I prefer the colour version. Wilson's panoramic idea is good. As you have done here I think when a promising scene presents itself it is always worth firing off a few extra shots with variations in exposure and focal length.

I like this one too. I do like the "Wilson" look too. Makes it even seem more expansive, NIce job, nice tonal range.

I think the color version has more depth, but I think it's too green. I guess my favorite would be the sepia version that Wilson did.

Ok so tell me how your mind works -- short version please .... (-;

Why did you choose this exact spot to shoot this scene ? ..... Versus 10 steps in any other dirction for example.

Yeah, Ken, you know me ... ask a simple question, get a novel for a response. :-)

Well ... I was sort of limited to where there was room at the side of the road to pull off. There wasn't really a place that would have put me in front of the building/tree. I WISH I could have been closer so that the shots with the zoom would have prominently featured just the building/tree, but there was significant amounts of barbed wire fencing next to the road there. The first shots of this scene that I uploaded were taken with my 75-300mm pulled all the way out.

This proves Ken is going soft on us. Asking a female how her mind works??? Lou Ann, Ken is exploring his feminine side these days. I think we need to take up a collection and get him back down to Texas for a while to harden him up. I know someone with a ranch; we can sit him on a bull and toughen the boy up.

Ya' know, Kim ... I would definitely have to agree with you. Those yellow tulips really convinced me. I'd LOVE to see the pictures of Ken on a bull ... to toughen him up!!! :-)
