allonkira 0 Posted October 21, 2004 Thank you Francesco and Bartek! Bartek - the fly was standing on the grass, so I hold the camera very close to the ground and shoot upwards. The almost white background is overexposure of the cyan sky. Thanks again, allon. Link to comment

fabiangraham 0 Posted October 22, 2004 looks too perfect. Did you hypnotize the fly before asking it to pose for the photo. Without hypnosis, how do you enduce the fly to stay still for long enough to focus and take the photo? Also, I have the same lens, ef50mm and can no way get this close to a fly? Just very curious, so please respond here. Many thanks. Either way, 7/7 from me Link to comment
allonkira 0 Posted October 22, 2004 Thank you: Tuhin, Pnina, Rashid, Fabian and John! Fabian - when you go to shot flies, you must take with you, beside the camera, some anti-frustration pills:) Thank you all, allon. Link to comment

timnichols 0 Posted October 23, 2004 Another tip: Have fun and use a stop watch to see how long the fly will hold still. But only time flies when you're having fun. Link to comment

Juan - special thanks for the warm words! Tim - I like your tip!! :) Angus - you can add a 50 mm lens in a reverse position to the G2 very easily. all you need is a lens adapter and a few rings. you can see how it looks in the attached file. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN! allon. Link to comment
