From the balcony in the Lowenbrau Tent, the rising sun greets your

gaze as you look out across a peaceful wooden sea. In just a few short

hours this scene will transform into raging torrents of foaming brew,

fried chickens, and ecstatic celebrants. Prosit!

Simply delightful. The single thing I like the most are the waiters which are also getting ready for the Sturm und Drang to come...

I've the suspect a bit of rotation clockwise should help the picture, but I guess is more a trick of perspective.

The exposure seems to have been tricky, was there any final adjustment of the lower half of the shot? I cannot tell from the technical details -which are at any rate interesting-.

Thank you all for your comments and visits.

Salvatore, thanks for your comment. Concerning the exposure, I was pretty lucky with this one. The only post-scan editing after inversion was the usual levels/curves and USM. In fact, of any of my photographs, this one would qualify for the Unmanipulated Check box. Regarding the rotation, I noticed the same thing that you saw (where maybe about 0.25 degree rotation is needed). But as I look at the bottom tables, they seem to be very level. So it must be a perspective anomaly.

Colin, they do a pretty good job cleaning up after the previous night's mayhem. I think they would have found him under one those tables. ;0)

Regards

"the calm before the storm..." Great geometry and color (not to mention a seldom seen sight at a "function" such as this, I'd imagine!! )
