The brown against the black & white is simple and very powerful at the same time. This is a idea that should be explored further. I really like the white out work around the edges. Again, well done. Thought provoking to say the least.

Yup - definitely has Howard's high-key feel. I like the color of the leaf against the B&W background. But ... I like your other images of this leaf on the stones better.

Appreciate all your feedback. I guess you can call that a Highkey Howard. . . . wait, wait, although it's dead, the leaf is still in color. ^_^

I am " Canadian"! and for this reason alone I love this image......I usually hate when people use a gradient tool to white out the edges.....but this works so well here.

the natural state, direction of the leaf and the light all works so fabulously!
