davidmccracken 2 Posted October 19, 2004 I have a little bit of a reputation for 'tilting' the camera when photographing people. However, I feel that this works well in this case. Do you agree? Feedback appreciated on this or any of my photos! Link to comment
scootafranklin 0 Posted October 19, 2004 Your photos have a very nice signature look to them. I like the balance of sex appeal and innocence wrapped up in this one. Link to comment
guy ronkar 0 Posted October 19, 2004 Well, it's definetely a McCracken, with the tilt and all :-) Don't get me wrong, I think this works very well, and I like the tilt very much. I think you've developped your own personal style, and you absolutely should continue in that direction. (Did I say nice lighting, by the way? :-) ) Guy Link to comment
clauder 0 Posted October 19, 2004 Hey David, you made my brother (comment above) agree with me for once, thanks :-))) Nice picture, the tilt works well Link to comment
clauder 0 Posted October 19, 2004 oh, forgot to say that I like the triangular relation between the face, the tatoo and the thingy attached to her top (what would you call that?)! Thats what makes the picture work for me Link to comment
brendan_turner1 0 Posted October 19, 2004 Your model has such an expressive face that I'd call this a portrait. Her look is FAR more drawing than the clothes and the hands undiong the pants are adding a narrative that disctracts from the garments. As a portrait I like it. As fashion, it's not really. Guest Guest Posted October 19, 2004 Great pose here, David... dynamic, cute and flirty - you obviously worked really well with this model. A minor suggestion though would be to have her a standing a tiny bit further away from the background to reduce that faint shadow there, that way she would stand out in an even more striking way against the white. Otherwise a really nice job... Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 19, 2004 Scoota, Your words are kind. I am not sure I deserve them, however, in this particular case I think that the model does. Guy / Claude, I am glad I could get you to agree on something. I know what families are like. I am sorry to say Claude, I have no idea of the name of the thing she is wearing! Sorry and thanks. Brendan, Portrait / Fashion, does it matter? To me a portrait is 'usually' head and shoulders! Thanks for taking the time to comment! Andrew! Suggestions are always welcome. The practicalities of what you suggest were not possible for this shot but I do appreciate your input. Thank you everyone! Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted October 20, 2004 Beautiful lady and beautiful tilt. You must return to the East and resume where you left off, soon. The angle is excellent giving a great diagonal line and the overall position in the frame is excellent. -Cheers Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 20, 2004 This is one of these photos that I really like myself. It is a real treat when someone with your skills and eye give such positive comments. I may have other photos of this girl. I will certainly have a look to see if any are of sufficient quality to upload! Thanks Owen! Link to comment
