Love the delicate, subtle colors..... foreground seems to be a bit too flat, though.

Totally agree with Brad. Very fine work. Eric, it is interesting to see your super series has many good and great photos.

Thanks folks. Regarding the contrast in the foreground - I was restrained because I didn't want to overwhelm the pastels in the water and sky - perhaps a little too restrained?

Eric, thanks for the explaination and it helps me understand more about this work. I may think a little too restrained since the background seems to be quite stronger than the foreground.

 

mmm... tough one. It is a little flat, I guess, but that's not bothering me too much. However, the black spot in the middle of the water keeps catching my eye, but my eye wants to roam. Is that an intentional anchor? Personally, I'd like the pastels to be just a little stronger, not by much though. The patterns on the ground, and the curve of the shoreline, are of course, great.

Stephen - The little smudge in the water was placed there in the composition intentionally. I think it might be better with it cloned out. Can't decide...
