Thanks, Peter. I was just about to revise the posting with this square crop version. Guess I'll just add it here for comparison sake now. ^_^

Yes Wilson, I too prefer the alternative crop. However, I am one of these strange people who almost always insist on keeping the aspect ratio of the camera in use.

Maybe I need to relax this a little!

Interesting abstract view, I like texture and colour of the background. Probably the cropping advice works better. Regards.

A nice coloured shot, Wilson. But I prefere to see your shots at one first glance. But at the otherhand: by it's original size the trunk looks endless (scroll, scroll) LOL. Best Regards, Ada.

Thanks so far for your feedback. Yes, I am really ticked off by the inconsistant sizing that I get on postings. I have no idea what's going on, thought the large image would've yield a medium size image, and a "view larger" image. I am clueless, I'm afraid. Most likely I'll repost the square crop separately then. Sorry for the scrolling, Ada!

Ken, the orange background is courtesy of a tree's turning leaves. Jayme, yes, "funky Fungus," perhaps that should've been the title. ^_^

I'm with the majority, I think - the alternate crop works for me, too. Could be because I can see it all at once, so the impact is stronger. Anyway, vivid colors that immediately catch your attention. Nice detail and texture, too.
