Storm over Pilot Peak

I like the foreshortening caused by long lenses -- in this case,

400mm. Image is unmanipulated full frame on Provia 400F.

The composition is very interesting. I particularly like the peak as a divider, and the way the clouds extend the sharp ridge into an imaginary softer one.

 

On a general note, I think there is some scanning arctifact in the top right corner and -overall- some reduction of the blue midpoint (of a 10% or so) might help the final impact.

Wonderful sense of movement with the clouds and wind,and contrast with light on the different clouds.I like the blue as it imparts a feeling of cold and a looming storm. walt byrnes
