cghubbell 0 Posted October 18, 2004 Working through the images I cpatured at Disney a few weeks back Icame across this one, and did some work on it. I'm not crazy aboutthe straight trunk on Mom, but it's her real pose. It did create aninteresting positioning which I think makes this shot stand out. I'dlove to know what others think. For those who are curious, it wastaken on the Kiliminjaro Safaris ride in Disney's Animal Kingdom(Africa area), handheld. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted October 26, 2004 C.G., These are digital elephants (note the straight trunks), if they were film elephants the trunks would have a curl to them. Sillines aside, the large elephant provides a decent frame for the smaller one though the lighting lacks the punch required to make this one pop. Here, the animals and the background tend to merge as the tones are similar. On the other hand, had you returned to perfect light I doubt the shot would have still been there. Good decision on your part. Perhaps some 'curves' or other work in PS could help with the separation. Wide open f stop providing selective focus may have helped as well. Best, LM. Link to comment
