kslonaker 0 Posted October 16, 2004 Simple and effective composition with good contrast between foreground and sky. Three basic colors - gold, green and blue - this works for me. Link to comment

tony georgiadis 0 Posted October 16, 2004 Good composition with good color Alec the mood of the scene is well captured maybe that tree would benefit of a little dodging to bring out some more detail ...but nevertheless a very good shot. Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted October 16, 2004 Nice composition, Alec, and the blue sky is unmistakenly a D70 blue. I think that the little bit of the dark brown foreground/detail adds a lot. Agree with Tony with bringing out some shadow detail of the tree, but still cool as is in a non-manip status. ^_^ Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Thanks guys. Been busy lately and couldn't upload more. Did this with my notebook so I can't see the tree in it's proper exposure. I may probably PS it when I use the CRT monitor. Appreciate all for taking the time to comment and rate. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted October 27, 2004 The shade between the grass in this meadow is what makes it special to me. The foreground slope has ooil painting qualities - depicting a high degree of texture. Hey, dry grass on a hill with a tree but captured so creatively. Well done again. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted April 12, 2008 I've not visited your portfolio before. No loss to you, as I can see that you get thousands of visitors every month, and many thousands of comments. But you commented on one of my images, so I came to take a look. Amazing and fantastic and awesome collection. Strangely, with all the exotic and fabulous images you have done, I found this simple and tranquil little gem to be an immediate hit with me. It really resonates with me and inspires at the same time. Wonderful! Link to comment
