scootafranklin 0 Posted October 16, 2004 Great job with this one. Very printable look. As far as what could be better, maybe just a slight bit cropped of the right and the stains on the table removed. Link to comment
lapsking 0 Posted October 16, 2004 Good composition, good texture, good ditails... you may just try a better lighing. I like the green leaf behind all these dark colors, so another good for contrast. 6/6. Link to comment
donnaalbers 0 Posted October 17, 2004 Bente, I just can't decide. . . I like them all. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted October 18, 2004 It was the colours and lighting that first made me look. Beautiful! But the composition is good too. As a suggestion how about a similar shot with the bunch of grapes just touching the table and going towards the bottom right corner? 7/6 Link to comment
abintraphoto 0 Posted October 20, 2004 I'm preferring the color version - unusual for me I know ........... Like to keep you on your toes . (-; Link to comment
bentes_world 0 Posted October 21, 2004 Francesco - I think I have to visit Montepulciano ... if I can find a parking place in the narrow streets ... thanks for stopping by. Rashid ... thanks for stopping by and thanks for your generousity. Scoota .... thanks for your kind words ....perhaps you are right about your cropping suggestion. About the stains I'm guite aware of them and I could very easily have removed them ... if I wanted... but I didn't on purpose not want the background and the stool to become "too pretty" but I'm glad you did take time to make your suggestions .... always good to see some are interested. Thanks for that. Hamed .... thanks for commenting and rating on this one. The lighting is natural daylight coming from 2 windows behind the subject. I wanted to use this light but perhaps you could give me some suggestions for the lighting? Donna and Mari Mar ... thanks for stopping by and thanks for your very nice comments. Donna .. just choose them all (-: Colin ... the colors was all that started me making this still life ... I was fascinated of the figs and found they were matching the grapes very well. About your suggestion of another composition ... I tried but after some times there were no grapes left ... the tasted deliciouse (-; Ken .... yes, unusual for you but shows you being more versatile than just BW... and you are indeed keeping me on .... my toe (-: Link to comment
