salvatore.mele 1 Posted October 14, 2004 I had a looooooong day (since it was never really night) to kill in Tromso, Norway, and I was reflecting around... I like the colours and the shapes, and you? Comments warmly welcome. Link to comment
anne_morgan 0 Posted October 14, 2004 This is beautiful! I've done a few of these lately and wasn't sure if I should leave it upside-down or not (I did). Your color is great! Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted October 15, 2004 Nice little reflection shot, but not entirely sure if I like the presence of the white building... personally, I might have stop the image at the mid point of the yellow building, but others may disagree... Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 15, 2004 Beautiful and natural reflections! Well chosen colors! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 16, 2004 The crop for panaroma effect is keen. The area in deep shadow at left deftly balances the white structure at right, and the shadow's diagonal "trailers" work rhythmically with the linear ripples throughout. Link to comment
nanette 0 Posted February 9, 2006 As you've commented on one of my reflection photos, I had to comment on yours! This is a really great image, the ripples in the water are just enough to distort the buildings so that they are still recognizable. I wonder if you had to clean up any of the water, as I have had to do this on occasion. The colour saturation is very appealing and gives a warm feeling to the image, although I've heard that Tromso is quite cold (I have a friend there). The posts running along the bottom give a nice border and a clue to how the image was taken. The only thing I would change is just to do with the border. Because you have chosen a thick black border, the lower left side of the image seems to blend into the frame and tends to give an unbalanced feeling overall. Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted February 11, 2006 Hello Salvatore A lesser photographer would have been tempted to include the actual buildings in the photograph, your genious was to not! 7/7 Regards, Nick, Link to comment
