salvatore.mele 1 Posted October 12, 2004 Taken while ice climbing in remote Spitzberg islands. No pre-traced route nor anything else... that's just a glacier snout crashing down in the ocean... does it give butterflies in the stomach? Comments very much appreciated. Thanks, s. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted October 12, 2004 that's a fun-perspective, makes me want to turn the picture round and try the stomach-feeling of each... Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted October 12, 2004 Andrea, it would be a fun perspective anyhow, since I was shooting from right below her and the ice wall is indeed vertical. So, the flip of the picture reflects the fact I shot back to the ice rather than back to the void... I thought it looked nice this way, though. Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted October 12, 2004 of course, I think you chose the most effective way, I meant one could also turn it 90'-wise, it would be "allright" in any way, regards! Link to comment
delp 0 Posted October 13, 2004 I think it works well that way. Ouch, the butterflies .... Link to comment
root 0 Posted October 14, 2004 A real grabber since everyone knows that the sky is up and the 'earth' is down. Nice symmetrical composition emphasized by the light on the heels, and good shadow detail with a tough contrast range. This goes to the favorites page. Link to comment
