Britannia Beach B&W

I tested my new lens Canon EF 17-40mm L f4 last year at Britannia

Beach 50km north of Vancouver on Sea to Sky Highway from Vancouver

to Whistler (Winter Olympic games 2010). Please some comments.

Lovely colors and depth.

always enjoy your work... and this one is no exception... very nice. Love the variety of shapes in this pic. Is that smoke from some kind of factory in the distance?

It is a mill for logs manufacturing I believe, thanks for comments.

The lighting is incredible. What sort of post-processing did you do in this shot?

 

Also what were the camera settings?

It was f:16 and time around 1/45 of second. I used Hoya B1 Skylight filter. And In Photoshop I desaturated the foreground stone and a little bit brought Provia-like colours to live, but saturation was only minor. Most of the work is as it was and lens with a filter did it all.

The grey stone is what makes this one so good... Jiri
