tc_reed 0 Posted October 12, 2004 First attempt at such a distance using Sony digital. Sadly, I was without my tripod. We all know what that leaves a photo open for in terms of sharpness and focus. Comments and/or scoldings are welcomed! Link to comment
steve_wall1 0 Posted October 12, 2004 looks almost impressionistic. I like it, no, maybe, well, I just can't make up my mind. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted October 13, 2004 I think if the mountain stood out sharper it would look nicer. That's my personal take on it. Now how do you feel? :-) Link to comment
Raisanen 0 Posted October 14, 2004 Is that mountain is currently active? TC, be carefull! :-) Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted October 15, 2004 Yes, it is currently active and just up the road a piece from the Portland area. Not to worry. It is far enough away that there is little danger. I hope. :-) Link to comment
peter_daalder 0 Posted October 16, 2004 Interesting study in landscape layers. It works, because Mt. St. Helens was covered in snow at the time. An important bonus, when working at the extreme end of your equipment's capabilities (assuming that this is a radical crop from your original image). You might like to check out some of David Schoen's latest images of this mountain. Link to comment
