one looks out across the Arno and sees the Ponte Vecchio with its

multitude of little shops spanning across river. Below, the bustle of

traffic and street vendors along the Lungarno de'Medici. This is

version two from this location. It is a vertical crop with an improved

color balance. Comments and suggestions are invited.

Nice shot, but to be picky I think there's too much plain water in the bottom half. Others may disagree and enjoy the simple "stripe" effect. Best wishes.

Definitely prefer this version to the previous. The inclusion of the street not only adds more perspective, but introduces some 'reality' to a well photographed, idealised scene. I'm more interested in the street below, the rest is just a pretty backdrop, the exact opposite of most shots from this location.

What a wonderful sky! I love the Ponte Vecchio. You've really captured the atmosphere of Florence here, Walter. Hope you had a great trip!

Walter, a great shot and a different angle from usual. I like the fact this is also a wedding photo which adds to the romance! (1/3rd way up next to the river)

Walter: How DARE you post a properly exposed and non-fudged image of Florence? After all of the toned and fudged brown and blurry stuff I'm seeing lately, this is a breath of fresh air...pass the wine bottle please...

they were taking place all over the city that day. I would like to thank everyone for taking the time to visit, comment, and rate my photograph. I am envious of Roberto, to call Florence home must be truly grand! There was so much of life, its joys and dramas, literally pouring out from every narrow way and ancient alcove. A remarkably vibrant city. Regards.

Wow, you captured this beautifully. Great depth -- I love how you can see what's going on in the streets as well rather than mainly the sections across the water! Amazing work - this should be in a book or magazine!

I like the unusual way this leads my eye into the frame--the zig zag creates depth and a spirit that seems fitting for this location.

After seeing many shots of this bridge, my hat is off to you for finding a new perspective....
