rory daniel - singapore ph 0 Posted October 10, 2004 Has she got a finger over the lens? Under the circumstances, I guess we can't blame her! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 10, 2004 I hate to ask and feel dumb doing so but there is no info explaining this. It defies reason a kid would be that close, and if she was mental enough someone would stop her...the lion certainly wouldn't be so subdued...and the table??...so is this presented as an imaginary senerio, "imageart", or is it real?...i think not real and the ps merging work is so excellently done that alot of viewers may be going wow what a capture. Is imaginitive yes and IF real a very great shot, but the genuine aspect really makes a huge difference here. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 10, 2004 Pitman, at least you got lunch today! Paul, I'm on your side. Marc, excellent work, as usual! Link to comment
nathanchristopher 0 Posted October 10, 2004 This is a great merge, but it's still visable. To the left of the lions snout, the leaves disappear, the sun spots disappear, the angle changes, and a magical distance appears somewhere in the grass. Probably because the two photos were shot @ different focal lengths. Don't get me wrong this is a great image...you did an excellent job on the color toning and temperature. (If I'm wrong...I stand corrected and humbly bow in adoration of "a great capture". Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 10, 2004 On an image such as this i can't understand why we must probe it and walk on eggshells while we guess, examine and acuse the photographer of doing some crime . If its a photo ok,,,or "imageart" ok...then it can be judged as that. Why can't people just come out and state what it is? Its not right for us to be suspicious, but its also not right for the photographer to deplict such a well done scene as being an actual event, when the viewers lodgic alarms become triggered....and silence speaks volumes. Jerry Beecham 0 Posted October 10, 2004 One of those animals needs to be put in a cage - and it's not the one with four feet! Nice picture! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted October 10, 2004 I, like Paul, am wondering. If it is real, it's way too scary for me. If it is PS work it is a wonderful job. While the end result is super, it does make me curious. Because of the above pointed out differences in the grass, I'd guess PS work. Please let us in on the making of this image. Thanks Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted October 10, 2004 Marc, I know those future college expenses are scaring you, but this is no way to deal with the situation. I'm sure there must be some coal mines left that still use child labour... Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 10, 2004 What the hell! The lion does not look interested in the girl, and Mark is still with us.....fun shot, yes. Pnina Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted October 10, 2004 Under manipulated, "yes" is checked - I think that's enough information if that's all Marc wants to give. I wouldn't get too alarmed, people. This is very well done and is causing quite a stir. That in itself gives this high ratings for "originality", imo. Link to comment
