chris moseley 0 Posted July 3, 2001 Portrait Technique Advice - what would you do different? Canon A2, 85mm 1.8 lens, Fuji NPH400. Used light from window in old factory + a very small white relector for bounce. Link to comment
michael2 0 Posted July 3, 2001 A lot of portraits tend to somehow muddle their subject in with their background, this is not the case with this particular shot however. I'm not sure how it was achieved but the girl really POPS from the picture...excellent. Link to comment
justthings 0 Posted July 4, 2001 Things that struck me about this: 1) the lighting seems awfully harsh along the right side of the model's face, 2) the shadow left of her nose under her eye is distracting, 3) her pose/expression seems a bit uncomfortable. I do like her separation from the background as indicated by a previous poster. Link to comment
eric_jordan1 0 Posted July 6, 2001 but the only thing that I really find is the right side of her (your left) is a bit fuzzy. The lighting could actually be toned down in printing too. Link to comment
zeno_felkl 0 Posted April 19, 2002 I like the light and the colors and her sceptical look at you. Link to comment
