Bubbly Wasp

I am told they do this as a cooling mechanism, but the day I took this photo was a relatively cool fall day. The image is a composite of two consecutive frames in an effort to increase DOF.

I'm with Howard and Vincent. The bubble almost looks like it has a flame inside. Very cool image - great colors and DOF, as always.

Quite extraordinary. Tremendous passion and patience is needed to accomplish this. It makes me undersand how any things we take for granted. Thank you.

Thanx to all for commenting/rating/viewing. Most of you are too kind.

Howard- I learn from viewing your portraits.

Vincent- if I could take a sunset shot half as good as yours, I would be happy.

Kim- I would love to shoot the birds as good as you.

John- we share the passion for photography. I love your work. Your models have even more beauty than mine.
