ttibby 0 Posted October 6, 2004 This is a great shot, crystal clear and vibrant colors. I'm a bit perplexed by the shadow on the face but at the same time it adds to the mystique of the "cowboy". I like the musculature on the horse and the sheen or it's coat. Out of curiosity, what configuration did you take the shot with? Link to comment
romeyer.jp 0 Posted October 6, 2004 many thanks for this comments, friendstechn info : Nikon D70 zoom 80-200 2.8 at 80mm1/250 s F13 continuuous shot from the starting point...the horse arrived on me at approx 30mph I agree with the shadow on the head...due to the cowboy hat...but difficult to use "fill in" technique in these rough conditions!another default in my shot is the too large DOF...due to the speed, I choosen not to take too many risks with the DOF...but F13 was too cautious!thanks again, and please excuse my "frenchy" english Link to comment
jeremy_buss 0 Posted October 6, 2004 Great capture, I think the dirt is what really makes this picture. Link to comment

shawn_hooper 0 Posted October 7, 2004 Excellent shot! From the colors on the rider to the horse then on to the dirt flying around. Great all around. Link to comment
romeyer.jp 0 Posted October 7, 2004 I would like to thank everybody here to have "slide and stop" on my picture...honestly, considering the far upper level of so many pictures here, I was more afraid than prepared to get these nice comments...!It gives me the courage to work to improve... thanksfriendlyJean Pierre Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted October 8, 2004 I think everyone has said everything I would have about this picture. However, it is such a good picture it would be rude to say nothing. Well done! Link to comment
romeyer.jp 0 Posted October 11, 2004 Thanks for the last comments...nice to be read I quite understand that not everybody may like this picture, and it is certainly not a perfect one. Nevertheless I would have appreciate some developed comments from the person that has rated this picture 1/3...very bad in aesthetics...just to understand the rate, and offset any misunderstanding...(here i am not speaking about the picture...) my_pics 0 Posted July 4, 2005 Jean, this photograph is incredible. The timing, blur of the sand, intensity of both horse and rider, light and saturation. Even for a tight crop the composition is good. But like an above comment, the lack of the rider's face is a bit concerning. I took the liberty to select the face and brighten it some...but not so much as to destroy the fact that it is in the shadow of the hat's brim. See what you think. Regards, Certo Link to comment

vivian_thompson 0 Posted June 20, 2008 I have to disagree with the shadow on the face being a negative. This is a stunning photo; this gorgeous horse and the colors make the shot. I don't think the face adds to it one way or the other. Link to comment
dianewatson460 0 Posted March 30, 2010 Great shot. I can appreciate how hard it was to get this shot as I do reining myself. Link to comment
