I was walking a short trail when I almost stepped on this guy.

Normally if I see a snake or a mouse I'm freaking out and running

away. But wait I have my camera! I kept getting closer and closer

and sometimes the snake would kind of lunge at me freaking me out

even more. I guess he thought I wanted his dinner. Not exactly. So I

took about 7 images of this snake trying to slide back into the

crevice of the rocks. I had a B&W version up earlier but I took it

down almost immediatly as it didn't contrast well. Harsh afternoon

light as well. This has been cropped.

Cool shot. Reminds me of my lizard with a giant spider in his mouth! Amazing how brave we are with a camera in front of us.

Well after my initial shock, I realized he couldn't bite me with his mouth full :-)
