ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 5, 2004 I saw this little transparant spider on a leave of one of the last flowers in our garden. By working up the picture for PN my fantasy goes his one way, so nou I've created something for which I can not find the right category in which to place it. I hope you like my shot and your comments are as always very welcome! I appreciate them, the positive and negative ones. I've learned a lot from the people who honestly gave their opinion and advice. Thanks for that! Link to comment
robertmarleau 0 Posted October 5, 2004 I like your photo but I'm not sure about the colour IMHO I would have less blue, it would be interesting to try some filter... Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 5, 2004 Thank you Robert for your advice. The original picture had normal, natural colours but was IMO a bit dull. So I've used the blue colour with the intention to make a sort of fairy-tale picture, as you see in children books. It was certainly not my intention to make a real nature picture. But perhaps there will be many people who prefer the original one. The critiques and ratings will give me the answer. In the meantime I will thank you very much for your kind comment and rating. Best regards, Ada. Link to comment

timnichols 0 Posted October 6, 2004 It took some real creativity and imagination to do this! Nice placement in the frame, too! You are getting better all the time! Link to comment
pitman 0 Posted October 6, 2004 I agree with Tim, good choices made here, well done :) Link to comment
wilsontsoi 0 Posted October 6, 2004 Ada, very nice, delicate capture. I like the details in the flower stems, the spider, and the blurred background. The coloration in PS is clever too, but I think the color of the matting/framing is probably a bit over done. Perhaps a simple black matting will showcase the picture more and not take attention away from the love image? Still quite lovely. ^_^ Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted October 6, 2004 Ada, it is a dream image Very well done and Processed.I agree with Wilson about the frame which is a competition to the subject, but even so, it is beautiful. Pnina Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted October 6, 2004 I like to thank you all for your kind words, compliments and ideas. Maybe Wilson and Pnina are right with their opinion concerned the frame. But I'm afraid the fairy-tail mood which I had in my mind for this composition will completely disappear when I use a simple black frame. Just to fortify the tranparency-radiation of the picture I thought it would be nice to let that soft and dreamy spheer flow over into the frame instead of cut it off there were the picture ends. Finally I want to creat something soft and sweet, something which you can find for example in a childrens picture-book. But I gonna make a new frame because I'm curious to see how that will works out. I will do my best! Many greetings to all of you! Ada. Link to comment

novastorm 0 Posted January 10, 2005 I made it! I've been trying to get over here and see your photo's but life keeps getting in the way. Ada I was quite taken at how well you were able to read my photo's and see the things I was hoping to achieve in presenting them. I think you are one special person who loves life and all that it has to offer. That said I see this shot as a perfect example of that. It gives a little insight into who you are and how you feel about yourself and the world around you. Quite a few of your Photo's are like this and seem a be a rather personal view of you and the way you feel about your surroundings. This little dream spider is another great example of that and one of my favorites in your collection. There is nothing you could or should change here. The shot is perfect! Personally I love the out of focus background, the placement of the flowers and the spider couldn't be better in terms of composition, and from an outsiders point of view. The frame /matt for this photo not only works perfectly but couldn't be IMHO anything else without changing the whole feel, mood and meaning behind the shot! I hope you are able to get my meaning as I know english is not your native tongue. Cheers Ada we will keep in touch here on PN. Your friend Nova :) 7/7 Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 20, 2005 This is my dream. I should like to make more of this kind of compositions. Some people like to see this shot more natural, but it was not my intention to make a nature picture of this idyllic scene and I don't want to change anything on it. Another frame should ruin my whole dream. I like it very much that this shot is also your favourite one. Cheers Nova!:))) Link to comment
