Can't view 'em all at once - too much great stuff in this folder! We should all do 24 hour self assignments more often, I think! I really like the out-of-focus quality of the 2 spectators here, but would crop the right slightly to get rid of the lighter corner and make the hats "match" more! This would also serve to the center the "spinner" more - which would work well in this case, I think! 'Nite....lee

The man at left (maybe a man at right, too, maybe a woman, I forget -- this IS Santa Cruz after all), is too tall for me to have photographed over -- one at right was just right height. In many of the photos (I took numerous framed this way and chose by action of the 'spinmeister') I tried to frame by holding camera overhead because of tall hats and tall person to left, but this had best action. But if I crop the 'top hat' to the right and don't silhouette it, many won't get that it's a top hat, as is the hat on the left -- provable zaniness from those wonderful people who are left over from the days of hippiedom who (and whose progeny) still roam the streets of Santa Cruz, although it's become Los Angelified and San Diegoed with the influx of students at UC campus there from those cities; although it certainly hasn't hurt the attractiveness of the coeds; something about Southern California women that the Beach Boys wrote about is still true.

If you haven't (and know I take some pride in not -- or minimally -- manipulating my photos), you might want to take a look at 'details' which explain whether or not or in which way this photo was 'manipulated'. John

Breakdancing is back in Santa Cruz. This break dancer donned a hard

helmet to spin on his head before a makeshift crowd in Santa Cruz,

California on recent warm evening. Your ratings and critiques are

most welcome. (Please submit a helpful and constructive comment if

you rate harshly or very negatively/Please share your superior

photographic knowledge). Thanks. Enjoy. Get Down! John.
